This meatloaf is easy to make, as well as very tasty. It’s best served cold (I like to make meatloaf sandwiches with it), but can be served hot, as long as you let it rest for 15 minutes or it’ll tend to break up when slicing.
Tools you will need
- Small loaf tin (if you don’t have one you can use a small cake tin or small casserole dish)
- Wooden spoon
- Mixing bowl
✅ Quick Tips: Read the recipe in its entirety before you start cooking. This will help you understand the ingredients, steps, and timing involved, and allow you to prepare any necessary equipment or ingredients beforehand.
Easy Peasy Meatloaf
This is a basic meatloaf recipe that can be tweaked for different flavours (see tips at the bottom)
- Turn on the oven to 180 c. Preheat the oven for 10 minutes before placing the meatloaf in it.
- Take a loaf tin and grease it with spray oil or butter. Sprinkle flour in the pan and tip out any excess flour.
Beat the eggs and combine with all the other ingredients in a bowl. Mix well.
Pack into the greased dish, and bake for 1 hour.
Take out and allow to rest for at least 15 minutes before serving.
This meatloaf is even better when cold.
