Easy, quick pork chops
If you are going to have boiled vegetables with this dish prepare them and put them on the stove when you start cooking these pork chops.
If your pork chops have rinds (skin) on them, you can cut it off, if you want to.
I am preparing three for my family today.
Place the chops in an oiled electric frypan. Set it to half heat. Sprinkle them with chopped onion and then squirt some BBQ sauce over them.
If you are using the oven, you will need to cook them for half an hour.
Sprinkle some mixed herbs over them. In this case I've used mixed Italian herbs.
Don't allow too much topping to fall into the pan or it may burn before the chops are ready.
Place the lid on the pan and cook for 5-6 minutes.
Carefully turn the chops with heat proof tongs, trying to get the topping under them.
Cook for a further 15 minutes with the lid on.
Remove the chops onto plates, turning them so the topping is uppermost. If the topping comes off, just scoop it up and place it in the chops.
Add any cooked vegetables to the plate, and serve.
You can use tomato sauce if you prefer.
